Ventrilo with the iPhone - Page 2

Get it sorted, i need to use vent on the move around the home while doing other things away from my pc, i do not have any care for it using 3G or anything like that just so long as i can connect ti a wireless router and vent to my clan mates while not at my pc or at a wi-fi free zone

I was just trying to get on late night after moving much stuff around on my desk and couldn't find my headset (it sucks anyway).

"Hey, my iPhone has an app for just about everything else. Wonder if it's got something for Vent."

This would be pretty sweet, and really only need it when on WiFi, or maybe even 3G if the lag isn't a problem. Doesn't even seem like this would be terribly difficult, though I'm not an iPhone dev so I really don't know.

Just wanted to throw my vote on the heap!!

With all the advancements in iPhone technology I dont see how this is not possible now. I mean skype is using voip just fine, there is even a paid feature where you can get a phone number through it and make calls from an iTouch that is in all reality the same thing without the phone function just that you have to buy a headset with a mic. I would love it if I could talk to friends over this away from my actual desktop. Also if this app is better then the rest out there and it wouldn't take much I would even consider paying for it, the only issue with this is the fact that people that dont normally use vent will only see that it costs when a app like Skype does not. It would be nice to hear some input on this.

I would really like to have an Iphone version of Vent. There have been many times when I have to work late and have no way of contacting members of my guild.

Since they are all in Vent, having an Iphone client would allow me to contact them when I'm not at home.

Please, please, please, someone make an app for Vent. I have been waiting forever for this one. I can't seem to get Bluetooth to work right on my computer with a headset and I would love to be wireless while taking care of things around the house. A wireless headset is either too expensive or doesn't have the proper range.

A vent client for the iphone would be awesome. I'd even be willing to pay 5-10$ for it....and that's saying a lot, the most expensive app I've purchased up to now was 3.99.

Flag wont have a issue now making one.... AT&T will allow VoIP apps to exist and work on the cellular network!

Even if it has to be for a jailbroke iphone i still wanna see vent for i phone, give us an easy to use PTT button and the choice of speaker phone or headphones.
