By a total fluke of events a Dev has been able to duplicate the audio buffering/lag problem. And following his steps I was also able to reproduce it using the on-board Realtek audio.
I will qualify this by stating that it doesn't happen every time but it's still better than not being able to duplicate it. This particular series of events involves starting a DVD video using WMP then starting Vent (with the output device set to not use 'directsound') and connecting to a channel that's broadcasting continuous music) I will update this thread when more information becomes available. |

update:
During the testing we noticed that setting the following parameters did help to mitigate the problem. vent setup/voice-binds-speech tabs, set the output to enable 'use directsound' then set the name of the specific audio device. The Devs are looking into the actual cause of the problem. Last edited by Prog-Rocker; 04-21-2010 at 05:28 PM. |
