Hi, I just built a new pc and installed my drivers. Sound is working properly, but when I open Ventrilo, a few seconds after all sounds shut down(it's not muted).... I can't hear anything from ventrilo and anything from windows, music player, anything...To put the sound back up, I have to restart the pc, but every time I start Ventrilo it happens again...I did try to reinstal vent and audio drivers, but nothing works...
Need help, Thank |

what OS and audio device are you using?
in vnet setup/voice-binds-speech tabs, set the output/input devices to enable 'use directsound' then set the name of the audio device you're using are there any error messages in the vent log file? - rt-clik in window/view/log file/scroll to bottom Is your system sound configured for 5.1 or 7.1? (XP - windows control-panel / sounds / click the ‘Advanced’ button in the ‘Speaker Settings’ section / speaker setup input box setting) (Vista/Win7 – windows control-panel / sounds / Playback / select speaker device / ‘Configure’ button / Audio Channels) If yes then: Goto Vent setup/voice-binds-speech tabs / SFX button / Directional / Add “Front Left & Right 5.1 (or 7.1)” |
