I'll cut directly to the chase.
I listen to music on my Bluetooth headset and it sounds fine. When I open vent, it goes to terrible quality sound. Even if I press the settings button in vent, it stops all sound for a second, then restores the original, normal sound quality. Basically, when vent is open all audio from my headset- from Ventrilo, or browser, or a game -sounds like its being sent from 1920 through wax speakers. When vent is closed all sound from my computer is normal and sounds fantastic. Its actually causing problems for my online communicating since I prefer music over company ![]() |

I found the reason for my problem. Its not Ventrilo or windows related. My Bluetooth headphones are what is switching the sound quality when the microphone is activated.

Bluetooth is one of two things and it can't be both at the same time.
High quality stereo, no microphone. or Mono with microphone. |
