The GSM problem will be resolved in the next major release.
We have no idea when the next major release will be. |

I tried to persuade the admin to change it speex. My wow guild tried the server using speex twice and switched back to gsm because of the noise.
i'm the only mac use and cannot join end-game raids because I cannot join vent. From what I read earlier, I believe that speex and gsm are equally good, but the reality is that if most windows people are using gsm and it works well for them, why would you change it? |

Just wondering if there has been any update as to when the next Mac release will be? My guild is GSM and I am dying to join them. I see the last actual kind of update is from last year so thought I would see if there is any new news?

There are no mic boost or amplifier options available. It's simply a volume slider. What's really peculiar, is that this doesn't happen *all* the time. Sometimes Ventrilo works fine, sometimes every single one of my mic, whether it's USB, direct line in.. all hisses.
