Codec Malfunction Bindings

My WoW guild decided to switch over to Ventrilo instead of Teamspeak so i downloaded the newest version of Vent and when i log in a message pops up and tells me that the server has a different codec that the default settings for a mac. im suspose to use the Speex codec but the server uses GSM 6.10. so i go into the control/setup pannel and switch it to GSM 6.10 and click ok. but nothing happenes because i still cant hear my guild mates or talk to them. i dont know how to fix this.

It has to be changed on the server.

Have whomever administers your server change the server to speex and restart it.

Additionally, ALL Windows users should download the latest beta to avoid possible problems with sound quality.
