Failure to launch

I've been using vent for a long time now... since the initial mac release.

Just today I encountered a very strange problem.

NOTHING has changed in my computer from yesterday to today. Today when I tried to open vent I get an error that says, "HOME enviornment variable not found."

I tried deleting everything that had to do with ventrilo and then reinstalling. (I used spotlight and typed "ventrilo" then deleted everything I found). After reinstalling I get the same error again.

Mac OS 10.4.7

What does /Applications/Utilities/Console say? Any message that appear to relate to Ventrilo?
