issues with greyed out options

Sometimes when I click on a user the options like mute, send page, and copy comment are greyed out when I should be able to use them. Like with the comment I notice when I first log on I can usualy copy someone's comment, but often if they put up a comment while I'm already logged on it won't let me copy it unless I quit vent and restart it. The same happens to me randomly when I am logged in as server adim, the kick, ban, gmutes, etc options will be greyed out sometimes. Anyone else have this happen to them or know what could be causing it?

I'm using Version 2.3.2.Prototype.14, OS 10.4.6, Dual PowerPC G5
