How to fix Push-to-talk!!

So recently (mostly since the Mavericks update) my push-to-talk feature wasn't working while clicked into any window other than Vent. I've spent weeks trying to fix it and finally figured it out, thanks to someone who replied to one of the threads here. <3 So I decided to make a new thread to let you all know what worked for me.

Make SURE you try this before giving up!

Go to: System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy Tab > Accessibility Tab > Ventrilo box checked.

After doing this, I simply logged out of Vent and relogged and now it's working great! Hope this helps some of you out! Thanks again to the guy who posted the original response, you saved my life. haha

I've followed the new steps to update in Mavericks (with the new location of the accessibility options) and everything was working fine. However, in the past week, it has once again stopped working. I've triple checked that I have it enable in the accessibility menu, I've tried to change the key PTT is bound to, I've restarted. Is there anything else that I can try?

@ mister,

does the ptt work when the vent window is in focus?

just to make sure, the 'mute mic' box at the bottom is not checked?
