Default No one can hear me speak.

Hello, just recently I have been having a problem with my vent. I cant talk at all. Ive checked the forums here looking for a solution, but I have not found one yet. People can hear the games sound, like my footsteps but not my voice, and I am using a headset.

Both Boxes on the bottom of vent are unchecked. My volume is at the same level it was at when it did work. I have also reinstalled vent.

I haven't done the mic test because im not sure how to, i went to control-sound but I cant find the voice tab.

Im using Vista and I appreciate the help thanks.

to test the mic with vista you have to first goto c-panel/recording/save it, then play it back with a media player

can you post a pic of the vent setup/voice window plz.

what soundcard are you using?

I couldnt hear anything on the playback of the recording. It's wierd my mic was working fine about 2 days ago and its not broken from what I can tell.

Heres the setup.

Thanks again for all your help.
