Hi Forum,
I decided to install vent on my laptop and am having some difficulties doing so. I'm running a 32 bit Vista OS, so I went to the main website and downloaded the "Windows XP or Vista" client for 3.0.5. After downloading the installer I tried to run it and the installer got stuck on the first screen: The little info window pops up and says: "Windows Installer - Preparing to install..." and has just a cancel button. Now I know this kind of thing can take some time, but I've waited 3 minutes for it before hitting cancel. I've also tried running the installer "as administrator" but it has the same problem. Any ideas on what to do? Am I doing something wrong? |

I had a friend trying to install Vent for a 32bit OS on a 64 bit OS and that was what was happening, make sure you are using the right vent for your 32 bit OS

Hm. When I tried the Cleanup Utility it also got stuck at the same place when trying to install. This makes me think its a virus or something along those lines rather than a problem with Vent itself.
