depends on the sound card in the notebook.
ensure that the drivers are the latest release from the manufacturer and let us know more information.

People say that now my voice is a bit louder than it was before but static is still there...

in vent setup, set the outbound amplifier to 0

set the input device to realtek mic. also try checking/unchecking 'use directsound'

in the realtek audio manager, turn off all mic effects like 'noise suppression' and 'accoustic cancellation'

amplifier is and was on zero.
input device is set on the realtek mic.i played with direct sound from both control panel and vent and no difference.
same with turning off mic effects....
oh and its also doing it when i try to record my voice(no matter if the game i play is running or not)....
Also my laptop has an onboard mic that never worked good enough to use it...maybe its some kind of conflict....

EDIT: it was a cheap mic when i got it that why i think it might fix if i get a new one with usb
