I am at a collage dorm, I am trying to set up a vent server and only my other computer can get on it. I am gessing the school has a firewall blocking others out side, how do I get around it? Also I try to change the port in the text file and it does not seem to change the port.

You don't get around it.
You will need to nicely ask yoru school's network admins to open the port for your server in the firewall(s). The protocol is: TCP |

If your school is using a firewall blocking others out side the only way to solve this issue is to get a connection exception permission from the school IT department.
