maybe it's something i'm not running at the same time. i've had this connected for 3 days now and still can't duplicate. the only apps i run are vent and WoW.

It's really not any other app interfering; the issue occurs on clean fresh Macs right out of the box.
As someone else suggested, maybe it's a USB headset chipset issue. |

Could someone tell me how to completely uninstall ventrilo on my mac? This robotic voice keeps giving me me the play-by-play on every keystroke that I am doing on my mac and it is really getting on my last nerve. I don't want to lower the volume every time I get on my computer. I have tried just throwing it in the trash and emptying the trash but that isn't working. Please help!

lol. That's not Ventrilo, it sounds like you have VoiceOver turned on.
Go to System Preferences->Universal Access->Seeing Tab Turn VoiceOver Off |
