Ok. I created a subdomain with my hosting service. Let me start out by saying that for this particular hosting service, domains are listed in the directory this way: (my root ftp directory - which also contains the cgi-bin) --> html folder. Subdomains similarly are folders in the root directory with their own html folders.
This is the point at which I am a little confused. Do I load my ventrilo server files into the html directory, or that subdomain's main directory. As of right now, the files are in the subdmain's main directory: root/ventrilo/ventrilo_srv I can start the server via a secure shell connection, but I still haven't been able to connect using a ventrilo client. This is probably one of those retarded moments on my part. I solved all of the "hard" problems getting this thing up and running. And now I'm bumbling around trying to get the path right... |

I am pretty sure that they do.
Anyhoo, I can start the server just fine. I just can't connect to it via IP or address. That's why I think I have something not set up correctly. |
