My vent, not on PTT, is constantly keying the mic, even when the mic is muted. The others in this vent report hearing nothing at all. I'm not sure how to go about fixing this.

first let's make sure you're not getting bleed-over from other input devices by disabling them:
Disabling non-essential Audio Devices - Vista/Windows-7/8 Windows Control-Panel > Sound > Playback & Recording tabs > rt-click in the window and select "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" > rt-click on all unused devices and select "disable" ------- in vent setup, set the input device name in the dropdown box to the mic you're using. set the outbound amplifier to 0 try increasing the sensitivity number. it might be too sensitive if it's set between 0 and 3 |
