Cant Talk/Hear

I have a Logitech headset/Mic and i have my prefrances set up the way they are suposed to be. However i have no sounds when i join servers and i cannot talk in ANY servers that i join. What could be the problem?

If you are joining servers using the GSM codec the Mac client is currently not supported. This isn't a problem with your audio gear, the codec simply isn't included in this iteration.

What OS?
What Soundcard?

Do you have Service Pack 2 and Direct X 9.0c?
Is your sound muted in the bottom two check boxes on Vent or in sound properties?

The Windows people need to realize that Macs don't have those problems. The problems we have are usually reserved to: Not a powered mic, or: Something in known issues that wasn't seen by the OP.

Generally we don't need to know OS because incarnations of OS X do the same thing the same way (to the end user).

Also, all the windows people need to realize which forum theyre posting on. Idiots.

gramathy even if you are correct that OS and other issues are more relevant in Windows, it isnt nessecary to call names as long as others are making an attempt to help. I will make a better attempt to be sure it is a Windows post when asking for such details, but It is frowned upon to attack others because you are correct and they are not. When I answered the following posts I simply clicked Quick Links > Todays Posts and answered everyone as best as I could. Thank you for clarifying the Macintosh difference in these forums. I appriciate you letting us know. Name calling is not nessecary and I will be more aware of what category I am posting in
