There seems to be a problem with the installer. I'm on windows 2000, I attempted to install 2.3 & I get the error saying another version is installed, and to go to Add & Remove Programs to uninstall it, when there the Uninstall button is grayed out. I removed the folder out of program files & the same thing. This will probably cause issues with other users. I will go and delete the registery items now. Just a FYI.

I have this problem on xp. Could not uninstall using add/remove programs, so I tried deleting everything myself and it still says another version is installed.

Go ahead and reboot your machine. If that doesn't work you could always edit the registery manually and remove any instances of Ventrilo.
