Default NationVoice.com Information

Information about NationVoice.com downtime:

On 6/2/2005 NationVoice.com's primary web server had a hard drive failure. This has caused the NationVoice.com website, control panel, DNS, & E-Mail to go offline. These services will be restored by tonight 6/3/2005.

If you have any questions or technical support needs, please go to our IRC channel or ventrilo server to speak with a technical support representative.

IRC:

If your server appears to be down, you are probably using a DNS hostname to access your server. Please replace that with one of the following:

Texas: 67.19.104.10
Virginia: 66.235.185.240
California: 216.55.156.86
Chicago: 66.90.103.143
Toronto: 209.172.34.22

If you are still not able to connect to your ventrilo server with using one of the above IP's. Please contact our support with one of the methods above.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may of caused.

oh wow, hate to sound like an a-hole but your whole presense taken down because of a hard drive failure???!!!! One word - redundancy.

If these are not your servers but a host you purchase/lease dedicated hardware from I would start looking for someone else because an entire day to get you back up is unnecessary.

I had a similar problem back in January. My entire site was offline for almost 36 hours. But that was complicated by the fact that my datacenter decided to upgrade their trouble ticket system the same day the system crashed.

Yeah, me a Murphy are REAL good friends.

man, I am glad I am in control directly of my hardware at work. so if something goes bad I can only blame myself, and `knock on wood` nothing has been catastropic. Sure, a failure here and there but there is enough redundancy it wasn't noticed. =)

Trust me, we are not happy about the situation. The machine is now back online and we are restoring all the files.
