So, if the windows beta version is "not like a beta at all", why doesn't it just get bumped up to the standard version slot in the main ventrilo download link? It would save us mac users a crapload of headaches.

I would even propose saying that it's not backwards compatible with older vents just so they would all download it.

And making the default server configuration a Speex one wouldn't be a bad idea either. Or just getting rid of GSM altogether.
