Hi,
It's a long time I'm running on my W7 a vt server. Actually I'm the only admin, with 1 user. All fine, for month, years... Last week I installed ZoneAlarm Extreme Security. Door opened, all running smoothly. But after that it happened already 3 times, that for no reason, I got banned from my own vtserver (and the other user too). I suspect that it's due to the firewall. Any suggestion? |

what's the exact ban message you're getting?
also, what does the server log show for the bans? |

The client just say I've been kicked for 30 minutes, and I can't see the log since I'm running it with:

you should have Windows Defender so your fine there now all that left is anti virus well avast is good and kaspersky is the best. ZoneAlarm is blocking your server you want to keep it you need to config it. dont ask me how because I would never use that gay shit on my PC EVER!!! Your server log is in c:\Program Files\VentSrv. |

@Fonzie311: Thanks for the log info. On the other hand, I'm not interested in your personal ideas of security. ![]() I guess you're not working with your PC, not moving around for work purpose, and you don't have critical data to protect. So how can you have a comparison between your needs and the one of all the others in the world? ![]() I'm not interested to lose more time with this discussion, so just drop it, expecially if exposed in such a childish way from your side. Anyway what you say is false, because Zone Alarm IS configured, and it's not blocking it. Just causing a temporary ban. L2read first of all. |

All spam filters are set to "do nothing".
I can't say about the second point, it's empty now, and it would have to happen again to see it. It takes some hours to happen again (approximately 3 times per day keeping vtsrv up fulltime). Actually I'm bedding to bad. |

what ipaddress (and/or hostname) are you using to connect locally to the server?
i've seen some very wierd things happen when you configure your client to use your WAN address.
