I have used vent for a long time now i have never had any issues. When i went to go log on, said i couldnt..so i went and re downloaded the new version. Got the same message, Ive redone all the address, port and PW..nothing, rebooted computer, nothing.

Would you like to try using the last IP address? Yes /NO... i click yes and says Msg: Contacting server (for about 30 secs) then says Msg: Unable to resolve hostname. Last known IP available I cannot connect pplease somone help me. ![]() And I need a real answer Im not a computer wiz lol ![]() |

There might be something wrong with the IP/Hostname or the Port number. Check those.

could be that your friends are on a server with a different address/port#. check your server info here - http://ventrilo.com/status.php
try rebooting your modem-router-pc (in that order) as the message 'unable to resolve' is a tcpip message meaning your DNS cache can't get an ipaddress for the hostname of the server you're using. if you still get this message then contact your ISP as their DNS server may be having problems. |
