Status update:

I've made some headway with this issue and have discovered a few things. There are several ways of ducking the system and the technique I used doesn't work on Win10 but works fine from Vista thru Win8.1

I'll be spending a few days reworking the ducking support so that it works correctly on all of these OS's. With any luck I'll have a new version sometime next week.

Will advise.

No error messages are appearing. Btw, this issue also occurs with the currently released Creative Recon3D drivers. Wonder if the Communication % throttling option just doesn't work in Windows 10.

Tested Windows Ducking on a Skype call, it seems that it may be a Ventrilo-specific issue.

Likely as was mentioned due to the re-implementation of how Ducking was handled in Windows 10.

Sounds painful. You have to love changes like this.

Any luck with the new version, or need a tester?
