Default Re-order Channels

Is there any way to re-order channels on a server without deleting and recreating them in the new location?
I'd like to orgainse the public vent server that I admin but there are many guests that we've given passworded channels to and I don't remember what the passwords are, so I can't re-create the channel with their pass.

Also sorting manually wont' work because all of the guest channels are sorted by game type. (i.e. WoW guilds have thier channels under the WoW/WC3 master channel.)

Is there a way to view this info in a config file on the server? Or is there simply a way to do it from the client side?

as a server admin you can set the channel ordering to manual and then just drag the channels around to your liking.

this option is in Admin > Server Properties.

That only seems to work for sub channels.

i.e. Lets say there are 3 main channels, CS, BF2, and WoW all at level 1. In WoW there are 20 Guild channels with passwords and their own sub-channels.

I can set it to manual and re-arrange the guild channels under WoW, but I can't drag a Guild channel over into the CS channel tree.

Only a server admin can re-order root channels. And yes, it does work.

Is Server Admin higher than an account created in the User Editor that has Server Admin checked? Are you talking about the main Server Admin login for people that don't have an Entry in the USR file?

Becuase thats what I have my account set as and I can certainly re-order withing the WoW channel tree, but I can't move a WoW subchannel over to the CS tree.

I've checked this myself 5 times and had the other admins check as well. When in Manual no-one can re-order the way you describe.

Is there a way to manually do it via a server config file?
If you're posative this can be done I'd be happy to make you an Admin account on the server so that you can try.

I need to move Clan Channel's 3,4,5 and 6 into Game Channel A, and then delete Game Channel's B and C.
Is there a way to manually edit and re-order the channels while still preserving each channels password and settings? All this must be stored on the server. Is it in a plain-text config file that I can just edit?

Lobby
-Game Channel A
--Clan Channel 1
--Clan Channel 2
-Game Channel B
--Clan Channel 3
--Clan Channel 4
-Game Channel C
--Clan Channel 5
--Clan Channel 6

You can not move channels to a new parent.

How are they stored on the server?
Is it a .ini and .conf?
