I have been using Ventrilo for years and have never had a problem. Just recently i turned my computer on and noticed my name and all my servers have deleted themselves. I thought nothing of it and re-entered all my information. Shut my PC down again came back today and it is all gone again!
Any suggestions? |

sounds like you have a windows read/write permission problem with the ventrilo folder located here:
%appdata%\ventrilo your info is stored in ventrilo2.ini |

in a browser or file explorer:
%appdata%\ventrilo then rt-clik on the folder / properties / security tab / allow permissions also try temp disabling all firewall/virus apps try turning off ‘User Account Control’ located in Windows Control-Panel/User Accounts |

in that same folder
delete the ventrilo2.ini file this will effectively start vent from scratch. also try creating a new text file in the ventrilo folder. if you can save the file then the folder permissions should be OK rt-clik > new > text document |
