Hey Guys,
Just thought I'd let you guys know how I got this working. I tried to run service installer but I kept getting errors. I tried making a scheduled task to open the ventrilo server after login but that didn't work either. In the end I found that I had to change the ownership and permissions for the "C:\Program Files (x86)\VentServ" folder. In explorer right click the folder and click properties. Click the security tab then the advanced button. At the top next to owner click change then type ever and click check names. It should display everyone then click ok. Then check the box to replaced all child object permission.... Now click ok again. Then I opened an administrator command prompt (start > type cmd *Hold left shift and ctrl then hit enter and let go*) and type the following in the command prompt: cd\program files (x86)\ventsrv ventrilo_svc –i Then to start the server type the following: net start ventrilo I connected and all is working fine ![]() |
