I've been searching for an answer to this, but havn't found one. Sorry if this has been posted before.
I recently got a pair of nice over-ear, closed headphones. Love the way they sound, but it makes speaking in ventrilo strange because i can't quite hear myself. I turned on monitoring in my operating system (win xp), but it's kindof annoying to hear all the time (keystrokes, clicking, etc). Is there a way to enable mic monitoring so that it only does so when i hold down my mic bind? I figure this would be a ventrilo option, if it's possible. Thanks in advance. |

what brand audio are you using?
how did you enable monitoring? some audio devices have an option in the mic properties that allow you to 'monitor/listen' to the mic input |

I have Realtek Audio. I can enable it from the windows sound options (in master volume controls, un-mute mic volume, but I just want it to monitor when I'm using my mic bind.
