Help Please

I have been using voice activation with a Manhattan Personal Cinema 5.1 Surround Sound USB headset successfully for 2 years now. I wiped and reloaded my computer today in an effort to get rid of some junk. Now that I'm trying to get everything set back up I'm having an issue. The headset works great with vent. When I fire up Call of Duty 4 or 5 though, the voice activation is automatically activated leaving me with an open mic. Any help you can give on this would be greatly appreciated.

if you want to use Voice activation
increase the sensitivity in setup a bit higher.
while in setup, click Help and read the section on sensitivity
