Default Can't transmit

I cannot transmit voice. I am able to connect fine and hear people fine from the headset.

I am using an .Audio 500 USB headset on a MAC.

The headset works fine from MAC system preferences.

The mic is not muted in Ventrilo. I am not using the Push-to-Talk option.

Any ideas as to what am I doing wrong?

Default Same problem here

I'm having the same problem. I can connect, and I can hear my guildies, but I can't make myself heard. I'm using a Sennheiser PC135 USB headset, and I have tested the mic itself and it works fine. I don't even see a Push-to-Talk option/button, though. Where is that located?

Edit: Aha. I checked the checkbox for Push-to-Talk, then I moved the focus to the Hotkey field and hit the key I wanted for my Push-to-Talk hotkey. Bingo. Now it works.

The new version is not suddenly lagging. It's FAR more likely that your ISP is having transient problems.

there's other people on the board complaining of the same stuff.
and it just happens to coincide exactly with upgrading.
it happening on both my t1 and cable having the same problems at the same time
and no router... asdlk;jkasdl

Haven't seen any. The user in this thread for example was having problems transmitting, but hadn't correctly configured push-to-talk.

Then perhaps the problem is closer to the destination rather than the source.

Sorry to disagree, but I just haven't seen any evidence to support some random lag-inducing bug being introduced in the last version.

I'm having an issue where push to talk was once working, then suddenly stops working for no reason, I can restart vent, and still have the problem. This happened occasionaly in r14, but it's happend twice in two days with r15

I had to entirely reboot my machine to get it to work, I had even tried just relaunching the finder to no avail.
