Cant get my talking to work

this all started when my mic broke and got a new mic, after getting a new mic when i try to talk nothing works
when i use push to talk my sound doesnt not lite up green, when push to talk is off still does not work
the testing does work though, when i try to test the mic it works but cant to talk to people
i can hear everyone and everything that people do in vent
i have gone into my sound settings for the computer and shows that the headset works
NEED HELP ASAP

ensure that mute mic is not checked at the bottom of ventrilo.

its not i made sure everything is not muted

if analog, what soundcard'
what OS
can you post a screenshot of the vent setup window
