Windows 8 Download

I have been having an issue running Ventrilo with windows 8. It worked at first and then quit working. I open the program and it shows the logo for Ventrilo on my task bar but will not show the actual program open. When I try to re-open it says another version of Ventrilo is running. I tried deleting re-installing and even going to the task bar to make sure to close it under the processes tab. I am not a computer programmer so I need step by step directions of how to fix this. Thanks!!

sounds like it might be this:

Window Location

exit vent
goto START/RUN and enter: %appdata%\ventrilo
right-click on ventrilo2.ini and select either ‘open’ or ‘open with’ – use Notepad to edit
remove the line: MainLocSize=#,#,#,#
save the file
restart vent
(The first 2 numbers are the screen position x,y coordinates for the upper left corner, the second 2 numbers are window size horz/vert)
