my PC freinds have a vent server but when I connect they say I sound like a duck on drugs. The same thing happens whenever I run skype and use UT2K.
Skype on anything else is fine so is the TS client. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! p.s.s I can hear them fine its just me, I,m using a Plantronics USB headset running OS 10.3.9 512ram and a 1.25. Last edited by gausianblur; 11-22-2005 at 10:30 PM. |

It's a known issue with the prototype release. The mic is sampling at a lower rate than the Speex codec being used, so your voice is getting sped up. This will be fixed in a future release. In the meantime, try and up the sample rate on your headset. The Audio MIDI Setup in your Utilities folder should allow you to select a higher sample rate.

I can't select anything other than 8K for input, hence:
![]() This is a bluetooth headset that works perfectly with Skype & Teamspeex. I cannot select another input frequency, it pops back to 8K. Please tell me that support for these devices is in the next release. Please please tell me that. |
