PPT and sound not working

Hi, I am a user of a macbook (leopard) and I just recently installed vent.

There are a number of issues however. I can connect to the server and channel, however I cannot hear any of the other clients in the channel (can see the green loudspeaker though).

In addition to that, I cannot even speak to them. The mic works fine and operates smoothly in the test and operation (under speex), but the PPT function does not seem to work at all, hence I cannot start my transmission. (enable access for assistive devices is ticked)

Any help would be great, thanks in advace.

Is the server configured for Speex?

now that you mention it, no it isn't.

would changing it to speex affect any other users?
