Cant hear people and channel switching

In vent, people can hear me talk, and i can hear the soun dof my hot key when i click it, but people can't hear me and i cant hear the sound of switching channels. I need to figure out what the problem is. It isnt my mic, my Outbound is set, and Inbound. I need someone to help me ASAP! please get back to me =(

on vent main window at bottom, is 'mute sound' box checked?

in vent setup/voice-binds-speech tabs, is the output device set to the name of the audio device you're using?
