Running as admin: Can't connect to any servers

I tried to search under Can't connect but no results so here it goes.

Recently i tried to run Vent as admin because i was having problems with Bad company 2 and vent. I know this would work before when a game wouldn't work with vent properly.

The problem is it just sits on MSG: Contacting Server. and never changes.

I was running an older version of vent so i updated it, but no change.

1)Vista HOme Premium
2) RealTek sound cards
3) no games playing


I'm going to uninstall it and delete the folder off....and do a fresh install to see if that works.
