Problems With My Vent

I have Ventrillo's latest client and I have deleted an reinstalled it... But I am having an unusual issue where I cannot use the PTT key unless Ventrillo is the program at the forefront of the enviornment. Is there a setting I can change so that I can run Ventrillo behind WoW and still talk to my raid members.

Universal Access preference pane -> Enable Access for Assistive Devices

Although this option was not checked when I did check it I was unable to get the Vent to work with WoW still. Help!?!?

Is your key-binding an active bind in WoW?

I use right-ctrl and it has worked fine out of the box.

Try seeing if running WoW in full-screen window mode makes any difference.

Edit: Spotted you are on a Mac - so may be different

I am having the exact same problem, if you've come up with a solution please let me know. I can tell you it has nothing to do with world of warcraft, it doesn't matter what is running, if Vent isn't the primary program being used (the program in the forefront) push to talk doesn't work.

i am on the phone right now with a mac support guy who says it has to do with leopard. i will post again if we figure out a way to fix this.

"this is a known problem and we cannot fix it at this time. it appears that it is in how ventrilo deals with window prioritization and would have to be fixed on their side."

Odd for mac to tell you that, I fixed mine. Follow the steps outlined in this post http://www.ventrilo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9534 . It worked well for me.
