Having problems...not sure how to fix

I get this error everything i log into vent and I cant get my mic to work.

"Unable to activate DirectSound for the selected device.
DirectSoundCaptureCreate failed. HR=DSERR_NODRIVER. No sound driver is available for use"

Any ideas of what to do?

You will want to be sure that your Microphone is properly plugged into your computer prior to connecting to the server. Also, you can try explicitly setting the 'Input Device' in the Setup menu to your Headset device while disabling/un-checking "Use Direct Sound".
