Everyone can still hear me just fine. I can hear my self in audio tests. I have tried using the built in mic and speakers as well as a headset. I tried rebooting. I have tried multiple different people's vents and made sure they weren't muted.
Last night it was working fine, this morning it isn't and nothing was changed between now and then. I am using an iMac OS 10.6.8 and none of that has changed either since the occurrence. I am running vent 3.0.13 if that helps. |

when others are talking do you see their icons in green or yellow?
on vent main window at bottom, is the 'mute sound' box unchecked? |

I was listening too. Since I unplugged them from my computer, they have not worked since. They work fine on Skype, through phone calls, everything but Ventrilo now. I've changed the settings 100 times and re-installed to no avail. Does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this?

@ resette
does the headset plug into the onboard audio jacks or is it usb? if usb then goto vent setup/voice-binds-speech tabs and set the output device to the name of the headset |

Hello all, I too am having the same problem.
I am running OSX 10.11.1 and ventrilo verson 3.0.13 and I am using my Iphone headphones (which are the ones that I have always used with vent and have given me no problems) I have tried the following: *deleted all vent files *re installed vent *created new user names *changed the sound settings in vent and my machine to all possible combinations *checked and unchecked the mute boxes *used my headphones on my phone and other machines, and they work fine (I can hear with them) I can see my peer's mics lighting up green when they speak, I can also hear them if I unplug my mic. I have searched in your forums for an issue like this, and on google as well but I cant find a solution anywhere. Any help or advise will gladly be accepted. Thank you in advanced! |

are you using a newer mac that uses a single jack for audio? if yes, have you tried adjusting the properties for the audio jack as it's probably a multi-jack.

on vent main window at bottom, are either of the 'mute' boxes checked?
are there any error messages in the vent log file? rt-clik in main window > view > log file > scroll to current date |
