This seriously sucks because I have to raid tonight and I'm screwed because all I can basically do is listen since no one hears anything I say for at LEAST 5 seconds...
I could be dead by the time I get a heal that I ask for, for example... |

that tracert is showing some packet loss.
I Would contact the ISP and see if they are performing packet shaping, as this may be incorrectly flagging ventrilo packets as low priority. |

All it's showing is that one of the routes is unpingable...
My ISP doesn't tell me anything, maybe YOU guys should contact them seeing as how you'd know a lot more about what to tell them than I would. Maybe they'd listen to someone from the company that actually makes the program. |

I have the excat same problem. Although, sometimes it works fine for long perdiods of time, and sometimes the lag comes every minute. I can still hear everyone perfectly, with no delay (I usually have 10 ms depending on server) but they can't hear me.
It does however work fine on some ventrilo servers. The one server I'm using now (2.1, and only reason being is that it's the only server ventrilo actually works on without lagging all the time) always works, and I never lag... Any help would be appreciated. |

Okay so the problem has been pretty bad tonight so I called Optimum(my ISP) and they said that the line shows no loss, no interference, and a great connection, and that they aren't doing any packet shaping.
I'm not sure what else to do at this point... Maybe you could help me go over my network card's advanced configuration to optimize that and see if anything there would create a problem? Flow Control: Tx & Rx Enabled - my other option is to Disable this Interrupt Moderation: Disabled - other option is to Enable Jumbo Packet: 1514 Bytes - other options are 4088 and 9014 Large Send Offload (IPv4): Disabled - other option is to Enable Max IRQ per Sec: 5000 - Able to set to any number Priority & VLAN: Off - Able to turn On Receive Buffers: 256 - able to set either 256 or 512 Speed & Duplex: 1000 Mbps Full Duplex - 10 half duplex, 10 full, 100 half, 100 full, auto-negotiation TCP/UDP Checksum Offload (IPv4): Off - Able to turn On Transmit Buffers: 256 - able to set either 256 or 512 Maybe you could take a look at these settings and see if any of them may be causing an issue, or just what could generally be optimized anyway. Thanks. |
