Greetings
I am unable to con net to a server that i have connected to for years. I can connect to other servers in my list. this is happening in multiple networks. In my home network I have tried the trouble shooting remedies i.e. I have power cycled modem router and this mac laptop. I have reset and restored the router. When I go to my significant others home i have the same issue in her network. The server is used for a guild in WoW. I contacted the GM who runs our vent server and she tells me I am not on a banned mac address or IP.suggestions? Doc ![]() |

sounds like something local to that laptop that's blocking either the ipaddress or port# for that server. or the vent INI file has become corrupt for that server.
first try going to the server setup and delete the info for that server. exit vent then restart and re-enter the server info. also try temp disabling all firewall/virus/spyware apps to see if it will connect. |

Go to the stickied thread for troubleshooting.
http://forum.ventrilo.com/showthread.php?t=39590 and take a look at troubleshooting #6 and #15. The link for #15 is broken and needs to be updated to this https://www.darkstarllc.com/ventrilo-servers and try to connect the the Atlanta, GA server listed in the right column. #6 will tell us if the server your are trying to connect to is functioning and #15 will tell us if your Mac & Network are the issue (i.e. if it connects, the problem is not your gear) Get back to us with the results. |
