I am also facing the same problem with my laptop. I just tried to update window 10 and this was going with an error in it.

Same experience (on a new-ish aarhus laptop). But after a system restore (seemed to be an update correlation at least) and reinstall of a newer win10 update, it worked out. I know it's almost a joke, but have you tried reinstalling the update? Or checked for new drivers at the manufacturer site?

It may also require you to check the device manager Devmgmt.msc

I would also recommened you to check if all relevent services for Voip are active and set to auto mode.

Also see if there are some additional software trying to utilise the same logical port.

have you tried changing this setting in Win10?

1. Make sure the service called "Capability Access Manager Service" is set to automatic and is running.

2. Make sure you look under windows 10 settings > privacy > microphone and turn on "Allow apps to access your Microphone".

Was able to fix my problem. I guess it's a Microsoft issue more so than Ventrilo. Other VOIP programs had the same issues.

Lately, I am having a problem with my Ventrillo account this is the primary reason why I decided to join this community.
