Default Getting Spinning Beachball frequently

Hello,

I noticed there was a new version of the client out a few days ago. I launched it and had several beach ball freeze ups during my 4 hour play session tonight.

Console had this to add:

7/21/11 9:46:13.401 PM com.apple.spindump: Ventrilo [6799] didn't gather any samples

Any ideas? Running OS 10.7.0 with the new Vent v. 3.0.9.

when it crashes do you get a dialog box asking if you want to view the crash report?

does it seem to crash when just listening or when xmitting?

what type of headset are you using and how is it plugged in? example: usb or analog into a usb device like the iMic

Has anyone noticed that the problem occurs when a specific action or event occurs. Such as someone opening private chat window, an event that would be played, the client about disconnect or reconnect?

Does it only happen while you are playing a game?

What kind of system are you using it on i.e. a low end single core machine or a highend system with multiple cores.

Any such feedback that would help us to duplicate the problem. We tested 3.0.9 for a long time before releasing it and never once ran into the problem. This leads me to believe that it isn't happening that often but after looking at the lockup log from one person I do believe that it is a bug in the program. But being able to duplicate the problem a few times would go a long way to fixing it properly before we send out 3.0.10

Thanks,
