"Audio?" problem

Well, my mic & everything works fine, but when someone enters the server, or something along those lines, it doesn't make a sound like it usually does. I'm not sure if maybe I did something or what. It's not my computer, because other's using my server are having the same thing.

Any help would be appreciated.

on vent main window at bottom, is 'mute sound' box checked?

in vent setup/events tab, if you select an event then clik the play button, can you hear it?

in setup/voice-binds-speech tabs, is the output box set to the name of the speaker device you're using?
