Default Logitech Headset mic not working

Trying again. I have a logitech headset. The Mic does not work with Vent. It does work with almost every other application I use it with. The only other thing it does NOT work with, is the WoW in-game chat. I've tested it in a whole variety of ways, and confirmed that there is simply no signal being received from the mic at all.

Is this a known problem? Is there something i can do to fix it?

Yup, it's set up correctly. Screener below, with control panel as well, just to confirm it. I was able to use the Mic built into my MacBook last night, but the sound isn't very good, and since I use an external monitor for gaming, the Mic is a long way away. It's not really feasible.

Default Same Problem!

I have the somewhat the same problem, with a twist. I had a G4 Mac Laptop and Ventrilo worked fine with my Logitech USB. I now have a 20" iMac, using the same settings and Logitech USB headset, and the mic will not work when playing WoW (audio is fine). I have found, when the Ventrilo window is on top the mic works. As soon as I click on the WoW window, the mic is dead. To say the least this take a lot of fun out of the game because I can't defend/play the game with Ventrilo as the top screen, and I can't communicate with my team members when WoW is the top screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having trouble with my Genius USB Headset too. Mic volume is very low and everyone can barely hear me. Testing in settings proves same results. I've tried tinkering with volume settings with no luck. This is all strange because it worked fine a week ago.
