This is actually what's going on with my friend. she's using a mac laptop that she hasn't really used much, and i'm on a pc. i had just finished talking on another ventrilo server and hopped over to hers, and while i can hear her perfectly, she can't hear me at all. of course i made sure my mic wasn't muted and she made sure that she didn't have vent muted. codec showed as the right one for me and her both. open to any ideas. on a side note, no other voice program seems to be working right for her either.

what color does she see your icon when you talk?
if yellow then it might be a permission issue. have her check the mac sound properties and in vent setup, make sure the 'sound output' device is set correctly. does she hear the sound events when someone joins the server or channel? |

She said it lights green as per usual but hears nothing but a small bit of static, and to the event sounds she heard those.

I would suggest following the Macintosh Client Setup guide stickied at the top and let us know at what point things don't work.
