Push to talk not working

So, I recently got ahold of a new USB headset, and figured that it's about time I learned how to set up that whole "talking" part of the program. However, I encountered some difficulties!

I've enabled Push to Talk, and bound it to the Tilde key. It works when I hit the "Test" button in the setup window. However, when I try to talk on whatever server I happen to be on, nothing happens. No one can hear me, the Transmitting icon doesn't even turn green. Made sure that Enable Assistive Devices was checked, restarted the computer, no luck.

Any idea what could be going wrong here?

Do you have "Enable outbound voice communication" turned on in setup?

Do you have "Mute Microphone/Binds" check in main window.

I just installed the latest prototype of Ventrillo on my iMac Intel-core system, and while I am actively using WoW my push-to-talk button (~) does not work. If I focus on the Ventrillo window, everything is fine.

Have you turned on "Enable Assistive devices" in the Universal Access Preference Pane?

I just found that solution in another thread ^_^ Thanks, everything is working fine now.

I have a microphon problem.
When i do "test" it works, i can hear myself through my speakers, and when i do monitor, i have number like 9, 10, and when i speak it goes up to 50, 70... but when im in the lobby of vent, i see the others thiings go green, but i dont hear them. and when i press my key (control), the thing doesnt turn green and no one hear me... can i get any help??

And the guy who just posted before me, can i know where u got the post that helped u getting your vent fix??
