Cant talk on vent using Mac mini

I am on a brand new mac mini with snow leopard OS. I can hear on vent just fine, but when I key my mic it keys but no one can hear me.

I fallowed every trouble shooting step on the forums and i also had everyone turn up my volume with no luck. I am using the same headset i used to use on my mac book, it worked just fine. any thoughts?

Did you uncheck the Mute Microphone/Binds checkbox at the bottom of the vent window?
