Right now when I play music on vent, I just blast through my speakers and either hold down the buton or set it to push-to-talk. is there a way to make it broadcast without me doing that, so that I'm streaming? I know it can be done in the windows client, but i've never actually used the windows client and haven't a clue where to start.
Thanks! |

Any guidance available to be able to stream music and ptt as well?
I have soundflower installed, and have worked it so that I can stream music and hear others when they talk, but I'm unable to communicate myself. Looks like World of Warcraft will send game sounds independently of the mix board, so that's settled. I just want to figure out how to speak now... |

Typically you'd use 2 computers. It should work on 1 computer, but you'd need 2 copies of Ventrilo running. Also, since you have to route the default output to SoundFlower, you'd need to configure WoW to send its output to something other than the default device.
So: Ventrilo copy 1 (streaming): Input: SoundFlower 2-Channel Output: (Doesn't matter)...you want to check mute sound Ventrilo copy 2 (talking): Input: Mic Output: Headset |
