Is your system sound configured for 5.1 or 7.1?
(check the soundcard’s c-panel for settings)

If yes then:
Goto Vent setup/voice-binds-speech tabs / SFX / Directional / Add “Front Left & Right 5.1 (or 7.1)”

Upon entering setup for ventrilo and connecting to ventrilo: The entire computer locked up to the point where I could not even use task manager, CPU usage displayed only 6%
i couldn't even take the picture i failed to mention that ventrilo actually locks up my comp to the point where i cant use any keyboard functions....

the SFX is a button on voice-binds-speech tabs. it's right above the output device setting

Suddenly windows will recongnize it that the program does not respond and allows me to enter task manager...though it will not become functional until after the computer lock up

upon changing Vent setup/voice-binds-speech tabs / SFX / Directional / Add “Front Left & Right 5.1 (or 7.1)”"" i found there was no change what so ever in the choke
