Extreme Outgoing Latency

Last night for some reason, my latency went through the roof, but it was only on Ventrilo. Online I had no latency, and even over Vent I could hear people talking in real time. However whenever I tried to speak my latency shoots upwards of 15,000. This is still happening now, and I can't figure out what's wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

yeah I am having the same exact problem, does anyone know whats going on? the game I am playing runs perfectly with low latency, and I can hear other people on vent talking in real time, but whenever I try to talk my latency sky rockets. They sometimes dont hear what I say for over 5 minutes

what's your upload bandwidth - [URL]http://www.speedtest.net/[/URL]

is the soundcard driver up to date?

in vent setup, try setting 'process priority=high'

upload bandwidth = 460kbps (I'm kind of computer illiterate so I have no idea if thats good or bad)

Sound card driver appears to be up to date

Changing that setting to high had no affect.

Anything else that I could try? Losing arena games because I can't communicate makes me a sad panda.

I have exactly the same issue, and have been having it for the past week . Nothing has changed here my ingame latency is fine and just listening to vent is also fine . However when I wish to speak my vent ping shoots up to over 30k.

Yea i'm having the same problem too, this just happened randomly one day where my ping just spikes up randomly in vent

So, it appears that I've fixed my problem. All it took was some windows updates that i somehow hadn't installed. Hope this helps you guys as well.
